Tim Mead is an outdoor writer from Charlotte, North Carolina. His articles and photographs have appeared in a wide variety of national and regional magazines. Mead is active in both the Outdoor Writers Association of America and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. He has won several Excellence in Craft Awards and served as President of the latter. Mead is Professor Emeritus at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
