Mustad Pre-Rigged Slow Death Rigs

NEW MUSTAD SLOW DEATH RIG MAKES
“SECRET” SLOW-TROLL PRESENTATION EVEN EASIER.

Mustad®, the world’s best-selling hook brand, has added a new Slow Death pre-tied Rig to its selection of premium Ultra Point® hooks.

The backbone of the rig is the revolutionary Slow Death hook, designed by Mustad walleye pro-staffers Gary Parsons and Keith Kavajecz. “We spent countless hours testing hook bends until we perfected a Slow Death hook design that any angler could rig effectively” said Freshwater Hall of Famer, Gary Parsons. Kavajecz added, “The hook design creates an enticing, corkscrew presentation that makes the whole technique so effective. Now, Mustad has taken it one step further with a ready-to-fish rig that makes fishing this deadly technique even easier.”Mustad’s new Ultra Point® Slow Death hook is an actual Aberdeen style pattern with a special kinked shank that, when threaded with a half of night crawler and trolled at slow speeds, produces a wild action and reaches areas that blade presentations typically skip over. The rig is pre-tied with a 48”, 10 lb fluorocarbon leader, holographic bead and a size 14 Mustad rolling swivel for fast, easy rigging. It is available with a size 2 Slow Death hook in three finishes:

· 862G: 24 KT Gold Plated
· 862R: Red
· 862BR: Bronze

Mustad® Ultra Point® hooks now feature 4.3 Micro Sharp Point Technology for a sleek, slimmer incredibly sharp point. This unique, two-stage opti-angle point has less metal removed in the sharpening process than with traditional methods, providing all the benefits of a true needle point with incredible strength and durability. Chemically sharpened and Nor-Tempered to be up to 30% stronger than conventional hooks, Ultra Point® is a very sharp, very strong needle point that delivers quick, easy penetrations…and longer performance.
