The following is a Press Release from the NPAA:

Worldwide Marine Underwriters Partners with NPAA

In an effort to help educate professional anglers about being properly insured for the jobs they do, Worldwide Marine Underwriters, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, is pleased to announce their affiliation with the National Professional Anglers Association. They officially became a Supporting Partner January 1, 2010.

“I’m very excited about our partnership with NPAA and being able to aid in the education about professional boater’s insurance to its members. This allows expert captains, guides and tournament anglers—who unbeknownst to them are often grossly under insured but never realize it until a claim is made—the opportunity to ask the right questions, which allows them to have the best coverage for their particular needs,” says Bob Luellen, President of Worldwide Marine Underwriters.

Luellen—a tournament angler himself since the mid 1980’s—is an exclusive marine specialty agent with over 20 years of experience in the field of marine insurance. He represents numerous insurance companies nationally and is licensed in 48 states “What Worldwide Marine brings to NPAA members is a personal understanding what, exactly, their insurance requirements are, including equipment, electronics, towing issues, liability, and more.”

Pat Neu, NPAA Executive Director, is extremely pleased with this new partnership. “The experience level of Worldwide Marine Underwriters’ staff allows them to write the coverage that best fit the needs of professional anglers. They are a company that intimately understands the insurance needs of the captains, guides and tournament anglers of NPAA and are able to offer the best coverage for the lowest price – which is imperative in today’s market.”
