What set up do you guys use in your boats as far as your electronics go. I bought 2 hds8's one helm one bow, but I was thinking about using the one in the helm strictly for navigation and getting another for sonar so I could have full screens to veiw at the same time. Any input would be appreciated. I just bought a new boat and want to set it up for maximum efficiency.

I like two units on my console (helm). I use one strictly for Sonar so I can show a normal view of the entire water column and a zoom view of the bottom. On the other unit I put my GPS. Especially now with the StructureScan stuff and the Sirus Satellite info, there is more than enough to fill up two big screens.

Have a similar question. was watching one of your episodes and you guys were vertical jigging and many time you refereed to looking at a unit mounted on the bow of your boat which you had hooked up to a transducer in your bowmount. you claimed to be able to see your ljig and fish coming up to it to hit. I was just wondering what kind of unit/sonar or fishfinder you use that is capable of doing that?

I beilieve if you turn your ping speed and your scroll speed down you can achive this with your hds 8 but your boat has to be still
