Off Shore Tackle

Off Shore Tackle's In-Line Side Planers

  OR34 Mini-Planer Board

The Off Shore Tackle OR34 Mini-Planer Board functions the same way as the popular OR12 Side-Planer. The biggest difference is that this new and smaller in-line board fills a whole new fishing niche of trolling with light tackle. Best of all, the Mini-Planer is less expensive and will handle most of the trolling chores currently reserved for larger in-line boards.

OR12 Side Planer

Each Yellow OR12 Side Planer includes a stationary flag, two OR14 releases, two 6/32 screws, two nylon nuts, one split ring, instructions and is carefully ballasted to run flawlessly in rough water off of your rod line.  Ideal for Walleye and most fresh water fish.

(Available in Left's (OR12L) and Right's (OR12R).

 Gary's "Spinner Board" Rigging:

Off Shore Tackle Q & A's

Q. How much weight can the Off Shore Tackle in line side planer boards support for running snap weights?

A. I recommend staying under 3 ounces for walleye until you have some time on the boards. Heavier weights will sink the board but it will come up when you start moving forward.

 ___________

Q. How much weight can the OR34 Mini Planer board pull?

A. We have used as much as 5 colors of lead core at 2.8 mph. We've also used snap weights up to 1 ½ ounces. The board will sink if there is no forward motion, but it will come up in line after you get moving.

 ___________

Q. How do I keep the OR34 from going all of the way down to the lure and the fish?

A. We recommend that you use an OR29 Speed Bead or some other stop 4 to 6 feet ahead of the lure to prevent that from happening.
